The Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary is a special edition of the iconic Countach, produced to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the model’s debut. It was unveiled in 1988 and remained in production until 1990. The Countach, originally introduced in 1974, had already established itself as a symbol of exotic performance and cutting-edge design, but the 25th Anniversary version refined and modernised several aspects of the car.
The anniversary model featured subtle styling changes, such as a more aggressive, angular front bumper, a revised rear end, and a rear spoiler. It also introduced new side skirts, which gave the car a more streamlined, aerodynamic look. The body was still largely reminiscent of the original, but with modern refinements to enhance performance and comfort.
The 25th Anniversary Countach was powered by a 5.2-liter V12 engine, producing around 455 horsepower. This was mated to a five-speed manual transmission, and the car was capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in under 5 seconds, with a top speed of approximately 183 mph. The suspension was upgraded for better handling and ride comfort, with more modern tires.
The interior was also refined, with more luxurious materials used in the cabin, including leather upholstery and an updated dashboard design. It featured more advanced electronics and an improved driving experience compared to earlier Countach models.
Only 657 units of the Countach 25th Anniversary were built, making it a rare and highly sought-after model among collectors. The 25th Anniversary model is often seen as the definitive version of the Countach, bridging the gap between the raw, early models and the more modern Lamborghini designs that followed. Its blend of style, performance, and rarity has helped it maintain a lasting legacy in the world of supercars.
